Rana Hamir Singh Sodha, is a politician who has been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh since February 2024.
He comes from a strong political background with his grandfather having contested the 1946 elections. His father, Rana Chandar Singh Sodha, was also into politics, having been member National Assembly a total of 5 times in 1977, 1988, 1990, 1993, and 1996, and member Provincial Assembly of Sindh a total of 2 times in 1956 and 1970.
Rana Hamir Singh Sodha was first elected in the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in 1990, again in 1993 and then in 1997. In 1993, he served as Minister Science & Technology and Agriculture Research and in 1997 he served as Vice Chairman SAZDA.
In 2018, he served as Member and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Food after he was elected.
Rana Hamir Singh Sodha currently is also member of the Standing Committee on Minority Affairs.
